Mayda Barsumyan, CEO of Business Escalation Inc. and Rafael Marrero & Company just made a contribution to this Not-for-Profit organization. Our two companies purchased and donated 20 educational model Apple iMacs to the Little Haiti Optimist Club (LHOC) in support of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Summer Program.
Our goal is to contribute 50 computers this summer in support of the Club’s STEM Program. The mission of LHOC is to make a difference in the lives of youth by providing education, mentor-ship, athletics, arts and cultural programming.
The LHOC is a non-profit organization established in 2010 by a group of business, community and civic leaders to provide programs to the youth of Little Haiti. The organization is affiliated with the International Optimist, an association of more than 3,000 Optimist Clubs around the world dedicated to “Bringing Out the Best in Kids.”
